Starting a plant based pantry with Plant Based Chef Lily Toomey

Are you considering a transition to a plant-based diet? Or just looking to introduce some new ingredients and flavours to your kitchen repertoire? In this workshop, we will explore some of the staples that plant-based chef Lily Toomey has been working with for years. Designed to take the mystery out of plant-based cooking, the workshop will include a discussion of some fundamental ingredients and their nutritional and flavour properties as well as hands-on preparation of some standards that Lily always has in her pantry, including cashew cream, hummus, vegan mayo, seitan, and chia pudding. Each participant is encouraged to bring some jars and containers with them so they can bring home the foods they’ve made to get started on their own plant-based pantries.

Lily Toomey has been plant-based for almost twelve years. She was the sous chef in Cornucopia, Dublin’s longest serving vegan and wholefoods restaurant from 2013 to 2019. Her recipes can be found in the Cornucopia Green Cookbook. She is currently the head chef of Trails and Roots, a plant-based trail running camp which hosts retreats across Europe.

Mindful Macramé Making – Art Workshop

Mindful Macramè Making - Art Workshop with natural beach materials with Grace Austin of Pacie Grews

Come learn to make your own sustainable plant hanger with Grace, a West Cork based fibre artist and owner of ‘pacie grews.’. Using a blend of eco-friendly fibres and upcycled beach finds, you’ll gain your knotting chops and come away with your own macramé plant hanger (and the skills to replicate it again and again).

Macramé, the art of knot-tying, is in itself a mindful craft. We’re going to lean into this by consciously activating our easy-going alpha brain wave state, grounding ourselves before we begin, and honing into our own delicious creative force.

You don’t need to have any experience to take part in this workshop; just come with an open mind and willingness to experiment with new materials and techniques. You’ll learn each knot step-by-step, and Grace will encourage you to tap into your own creativity and design something unique to you. Everyone will walk away with a beautiful piece of functional,  ocean-inspired art that you’ll treasure for years to come (and a technique that you can continue to pass along to others).

Macramé. Mindfulness. Honouring Mama Ocean. A magical combination, no?

You can find out more about Grace’s work at https://paciegrews.com

Breathwork Journey

Breathwork Journey

Breathwork Journey with Geraldine Ahern & Tomas O Sullivan

Rebirthing Breathwork is a simple yet profound breathing technique. We breathe through our nose into the chest, connecting the inhale with the exhale and surrender to the ryhtm of our breathing. This brings our body into deep relaxation activating the parasympathetic nervous system and also activating a somatic cognitive cycle.Once surrendered to the unfolding spontaneously brings repressed memories & emotions to the surface to be resolved.

It is a very safe practice and can bring resolve to so much in our lives as well as expanding us where we need it.We also create space for new ideas & inspiration and can release blocks within that are blocking us in our life now to mention the renewed energy & vitality after just 1 session.

Geraldine found Rebirthing Breathwork 7 years ago and it was a gamechanger in her own life having exhausted all avenues with many things. This lead to a 6 year one on one internship with a teacher from Brazil who has been working as a psychologist & rebirther with nearly 30 years. As well as having assisted countless people find their joy again ,heal from deep wounding & trauma ,repair their relationships & rebirth themselves ,she also teaches this modality to others. She is passionate about family connection, healing the family unit and the importance of real community and healing our family distortions & inherited patterns of suffering & destruction. She also works with birth trauma and resolving our negative birth script which impacts every part of our life until we bring awareness to it and change it.

Together with her partner Tomás ,also a rebirther, they work with people on an individual basis, mostly online and at retreats throughout the year.
